Brittany wants all residents of the Commonwealth to have abundant opportunities to achieve economic success. The cost of living is rising for Pennsylvanians, and people are leaving the Commonwealth to look for jobs and start lives elsewhere. A free and competitive market allocates resources efficiently, producing the most wealth and satisfying everyone’s wants. Any person or group has the right to offer goods and services to others on the free market. The only proper role of government in the economic realm is to protect property rights, adjudicate disputes, and provide a legal framework in which voluntary trade is protected.
Brittany will tackle the rising cost of living and cutting costs for Pennsylvanians by:
Implementing zero-based and performance-based budgeting.
Utilize Article VIII Section 2.b.ii of the Pennsylvania State Constitution to create a special tax class for citizens 65 and older. This tax class would cut school taxes by 50% for the 65 and older community.
Identifying and eliminating unfunded mandates placed on our counties, cities, municipalities, and school districts.
Eliminating areas of inefficiencies and redundancy in state government.
Modernizing the Pennsylvania Turnpike to continue making it more transparent and accountable to taxpayers and consumers.
